An Untouched Blunderbuss
An Untouched Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss by Wheeler of London, Circa 1800. With belled three-stage barrel divided by raised mouldings, and fitted with a top-mounted spring bayonet, the bayonet is released by a sliding safety catch on the barrel tang, signed stepped border engraved lock, full-stocked in walnut and cut with a band of chequering at the grip, border engraved brass mounts throughout including butt plate, trigger guard with foliate engraving on the bow and pineapple finial and ramrod pipes, complete with original horn tipped ramrod with worm. In beautiful untouched condition.
