An 1890 Pattern Cavalry Troopers Sword. Of regulation specification, with slightly curved single edged blade, blunted at the end (indicating this was used for training) cut with a deep fuller running two-thirds of the length of the blade and stamped with Military inspection marks at the forte, steel bowl guard stamped with numerous marks, and with leather slab grips, in its original steel scabbard stamped at the throat with corresponding issue marks.

It appears this sword has been taken out of service and blunted for training purposes.
