A Steel Barrelled Blunderbuss by Beckwith of London. With octagonal to round barrel, swelling at the muzzle and fitted with a sprung bayonet above, engraved, ‘LONDON’ along the top flat and decorated with a band at the breech, line engraved tang fitted with a thumb-piece bayonet release catch, with stepped bevelled lock, signed ‘BECKWITH’ and fitted with a sliding safety catch, decorated with a spray of foliage at the tail, cock decorated en suite, full-stocked in walnut, cut with a band of chequering at the grip, brass mounts coursing butt-plate, trigger guard and ramrod pipes. In good clean order.
