A Scarce Silver Mounted Ferguson Breech Loading Flintlock Pistol by Jover. With round tapering barrel, blade fore-sight, the flat topped breech containing the loading plug and with gold poincon stamped ‘JOVER & SON LONDON’ gold touch hole, foliate engraved tang and screw, flat bevelled lock, stepped at the tail, signed ‘Jover’ in script and decorated with foliage at the tail, cock decorated en suite, re-stocked in walnut cut with a raised apron around the tang, original silver mounts comprising vacant oval escutcheon, long eared but cap with grotesque mask, baluster ramrod pipes with replacement horn-tipped ramrod.
