A Lobster Pot

With hemispherical skull formed in two pieces joined medially along a low comb and fitted at the brow with a flat pivoted peak and supporting on its underside a tripple barred face-guard, at the nape with a one-piece neck-guard embossed to simulate three lames, at its sides with pendent cheek pieces.  There is evidence of a sword strike to one of the hemispheres of the skull.
