A Georgian Presentation Naval Dirk. With straight single edged blade, double edged towards the point, etched with a presentation inscription;
‘PRESENTED BY H.M. KING GEORGE V TO CHIEF CADET CAPTAIN ANTHONY DOUGLAS INGLIS, 3RD APRIL 1933’
Surrounded by the usual floral strap work and scrolls, Royal cypher and fouled anchor (some black staining), brass hilt comprising guard with acorn finials, lancet with fouled anchor and laurel wreath; lion head pommel and blackstrap, the mouthpiece with ring retaining the original sword knot, brass mounted leather scabbard with silver Royal Cypher applied to top chape.
