With continental russet sighted barrels, each stamped with a barrel smiths mark at the breech, engraved with a line of foliage and decorated with a star-burst stretching down the central rib, platinum lined touch holes, border engraved tang decorated with a star-burst in the sighting groove, border engraved flat bevelled locks, signed ‘WALTER’ decorated at the tails with martial trophies and foliage, foliate engraved cocks, semi-rainproof pans and rollers, figured half-stock with chequered rounded butt, steel trigger guard with pineapple finial, rear ramrod pipe with finial en suite, vacant silver escutcheon and brass tipped ramrod with worm.
