A D.B. Box Lock Pistol by Barbar of London

A Double Barrel Box Lock Pistol by Barber of London. With brass turn-off cannon barrels numbered ‘3’ and ‘4’, and struck beneath with Tower private proofs, border engraved box-lock action, profusely engraved with rocaille and foliage on both sides, one side signed ‘BARBAR’ on a scroll, above an engraved sliding pan cut-off, border engraved cock and steel, sliding trigger guard safety, the steel trigger guard engraved with a flower head within a diamond on the bow, swelling figured rounded butt, profusely inlaid with scrollwork and a stand of arms, with solid silver escutcheon and grotesque mask, in good untouched order.
