A Continental Hunting Hanger.
A Silver Hilted Hunting Hanger, with straight single edged blade, double edged towards the point, cut with a narrow fuller running along the back edge, stamped with what appear to be blade smiths marks at the forte, cast and chased silver hilt, comprising downturned shell guard embossed with a classical scene, quillon decorated with scrolling foliage, knuckle guard embossed with a classical figure in armour, cap decorated en suite, polished horn grip, in its original leather scabbard with silver mounts. A nice example.
