A Cavalry Carbine
A 16 Bore 1844 Pattern Percussion Yeomanry Carbine, dated 1845. With sighted barrel and stamped with numerous inspection and proof marks at the breech, dated border engraved lock stamped V.R. crowned over Tower, full stocked stamped with numerous Board of Ordnance marks on one side of the butt, regulation brass mounts including butt-plate stamped A YC / E / 64 on the tang, with spur trigger guard, saddle-bar and ring with stirrup ramrod.
