A Cased Sporting Gun
A Cased 15-Bore D.B. Percussion Sporting Gun by J. Bourne of London, Mid 19th Century. With browned twist damascus sighted barrels, foliate engraved breech, signed on the rib, ‘JOSEPH BOURNE MAKER LONDON’ foliate engraved tang, border engraved locks decorated with a hunting dog chasing game, scrolling foliate hammers, varnished highly figured walnut half-stock with chequered grip, foliate scroll engraved blued steel mounts comprising butt-plate and trigger guard, engraved ramrod pipe, engraved barrel bolt escutcheons, original horn-tipped ramrod: in its original brass mounted lined and fitted mahogany case with all accessories including powder flask, turn screw and loading rod, in good clean condition overall.
