A Cased London Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver, No. 10554. With sighted octagonal barrel marked ‘ADDRES. COL. COLT. LONDON.’ and with London proofs on the left side, cylinder with roller engraved stagecoach scene and stamped 10554 and struck with London proofs marks adjacent to each chamber; steel frame marked on the left side, ‘COLT’S PATENT’ silvered trigger guard (retaining some original silver, some now flaking) chequered walnut grip, all visible serial numbers matching, wedge appears to be a replacement; housed in its original blue velvet lined oak case, accessories include Colt’s Patent two cavity mould, James Dixon & Sons flask, cleaning rod etc. The interior of the lid with original ‘Directions For Loading’ instructions.
