A Bronze Framed Tap Action Pistol by Barnes of Andover. With blued turn-off barrels stamped with Birmingham proofs, border engraved box-lock action, stamped at the breech with Birmingham proofs and decorated with sprays of foliage, signed on an oval surrounded by stands of arms to the left and, ‘ANDOVER’ on an oval surrounded by stands of arms to the right, fitted with sliding thumb-piece safety that also locks the steel, slab sided walnut butt chequered long the back-edge and fitted with a vacant rectangular escutcheon.

The pistol does not hold at half-cock only full-cock.
