A 3 Barrel Flintlock Pocket Pistol by Innes of Edinburgh. With round turn-off barrels with simple line engraving at the breech end, border engraved box-lock action, stamped with London proofs and barrels and breech numbered, ‘4’, ‘5’ and ‘6’ signed ‘INNES’ on an oval gold poincon surrounded by foliage to the right and ‘INNES’ on a banner surrounded by foliage to the left, fitted with a sliding safety catch that also lock the steel, steel trigger guard decorated with foliage on the bow, slab sided walnut butt. A superb little pistol.

Made all metal flintlock pistols with scroll butts and cased flintlock duelling pistols, also made single and double barrelled flintlock fowling pieces and Ferguson flintlock breech-loading rifles. Name changed to Innes & Wallace 1800 to 1820. Had Royal Government contract for flintlock holster pistols and flintlock muskets.
