A 25 Bore Percussion Overcoat Pistol by Wm & Jn Rigby, Dublin. With round sighted barrel, cut with a central groove and stamped ‘DUBLIN’ within it, foliate engraved breech with platinum plug, foliate engraved tang cut with a sighting groove, profusely engraved lock and cock with stylised head of a dog, hinged back-strap inset with a compartment for three spare balls, with an engraved sprung cover, tear drop shaped engraved butt-cap, full-stocked in walnut cut with chequering, with captive ramrod.
