An Early Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistol by Walker, Circa 1720. Swelling three-stage iron barrel, stamped with London proofs and Walkers own barrel smith mark, border engraved tang, border engraved curved lock, signed and decorated with scrolling foliage, cock decorated with foliage, full-stocked in walnut, cut with a raised apron around the tang, with brass furniture comprising serpentine side-plate, border engraved long-eared butt cap, decorated with leaves on the pommel, trigger guard decorated with a geometric design on the bow and acanthus leaf finial, baluster ramrod pipe and what appears to be the original brass tipped ramrod.

John Apprentice to Jospeh Shorey, 1717; free of Gunmakers Co., by redemption (his master dying), and proof piece approved, 1722. Elected Assistant, 1740; Master 1744. Gunmaker to East India Co., 1736-1747. Died 1748. Shop at the Cross Guns & Sun, Lombard Street, taken overly Thomas Gibson.
