1st Life Guards Officers Sword

An 1834 Pattern 1st Life Guards Officers Dress Sword. With straight single edged blade cut with a long deep fuller running along the back edge of the blade double edged towards the point, etched with the makers name at the forte ‘Hawkes & Co LONDON Manufacturer to the Queen’, regulation steel hilt pierced and applied in brass with scrolls, studs and crowned regimental cypher, wire bound fish skin grip, in its steel scabbard with two brass suspension mounts and steel shoe.
