A Flintlock Post Boys or Coaching Pistol. With round steel barrel, engraved J HARDING & SON BORO LONDON No. 312 and stamped with Hardings proof at the breech, engraved steel tang, stepped lock dated 1835, decorated with a spray of foliage and a sliding safety catch, full-stocked in walnut (sale crack beneath the lock) engraved brass mounts comprising trigger guard, decorated with a spray of foliage on the bow and ramrod pipes, brass tipped ramrod (probably a replacement).
