With round barrel stamped with Tower proofs at the breech, plain tang stamped with crown 4, line engraved lock with crowned GR and crisp ordnance mark and signed TOWER across the tail, full-stocked in walnut (small cracks at the throat of the ramrod channel), struck with numerous inspectors and acceptance marks, 1 / 1830 BO GR and it is also struck with the opposed arrows indicating that it has been sold out of service, with regulation brass furniture including butt-plate, side-plate and trigger guard. The butt-cap is unusual as it is engraved with a coat of arms and the motto, 'HONI SOIT QUI MALY PENSE'. I have not seen this on a military pistol before.
