An Outstanding Pair of Silver Inlaid Cannon Barrel Pistols by Cook of Bath. With three-stage turn-off cannon barrels stamped below with Tower Private proofs, border engraved box-lock actions decorated with some of the finest engraving I have encountered, signed to the left within an oval and decorated with sprays of foliage and stands of arms and to the right engraved ‘BATH’ on a plaque and again beautifully decorated with stands of arms and scrolling foliage, sliding trigger safety catches, the cocks and the tangs of the pistols decorated en suite, flat sided walnut butts profusely inlaid with scrolling silver wire decorated with vine leaves and flower heads with vacant oval escutcheons. Retaining all wire. In fine condition overall.
