A 12 Bore Flintlock Duelling Pistol by Powell of Dublin. With sighted re-browned barrel signed ‘Powell Dublin’ in script along the top flat and stamped with proofs and barrel smiths mark at breech, foliate engraved tang incorporating rear-sight, signed stepped bevelled lock fitted with a sliding safety catch, full-stocked in walnut, the grip cut with chequering at the back, steel mounts comprising trigger guard decorated with foliage on the bow and stylised pineapple finial and turned ramrod pipes, original horn tipped ramrod. An impressive pistol!
