With round tapering barrel marked with proofs at the breech and traces of barrel smiths mark to the left side, plain tang, flay slightly banana shaped lock plate signed ‘GALTON 1762’ on the tail and engraved with a Crown over GR and ordnance stamp beneath the faceted pan, reinforced cock, regulation brass furniture, walnut stock with raised apron around the tang (working life repair below the tail of the lock) brass tipped wooden ram rod. In incredible condition for its age. An incredibly scarce pistol.
