A Rare 1716 Pattern Long Sea Service Flintlock Pistol marked Edge 1759. With round tapering barrel marked with proofs at the breech and traces of barrel smiths mark to the left side, plain tang stamped with military marks, flay slightly banana shaped lock plate signed ‘EDGE 1759’ on the tail and engraved with a Crown over GR and ordnance stamp beneath the faceted pan, reinforced cock, regulation brass furniture, walnut stock with raised apron around the tang (repairs to the stock at the grip, around the lock and at the fore-end - see pictures) wooden ram rod a replacement. An incredibly scarce pistol.
