An Early Flintlock Holster Pistol by Griffin. With round tapering barrel slightly swamped at muzzle, engraved ‘GRIFFIN BOND STREET LONDON’ (engraving expertly refreshed) within a border and stamped with London proof and Foreigners mark, foliate engraved tang, border engraved lock and cock, replacement frizen screw, full-stocked in walnut with raised apron around tang and raised moulding around lock (some damage towards muzzle - see photographs) with Silver long-eared butt cap with grotesque mask, pierced side-plate and escutcheon signed with the originals owners initials ‘H.S.’ with steel trigger guard with acanthus leaf finial and turned ramrod pipes, the foreword ramrod a replacement, replacement ramrod.
