A Miniature Pair of Percussion Pistols by J. Blissett, London. With octagonal turn-off barrels, decorated with a band of geometric engraving at the muzzle, stamped with London proofs at the breech, profusely engraved box-lock actions fitted with sliding safety catches, decorated with scrolling foliage and signed ‘J. BLISSETT 321 HIGH HOLBORN LONDON’ with finely chequered walnut butts with vacant rectangular escutcheons. Both pistols retain original finish and are in full working order, the nose on one of the hammers is damaged and there is a small loss of wood to one of the grips, otherwise in beautiful condition.

Design No. 1050 (air-gun walking stick) 1847; British Patent No. 2069 (revolver loading lever) died 1855.
