A Fine Flintlock Officers Pistol of Musket Bore by Prosser, London. With browned sighted barrel engraved, ‘Charing Cross London’ along the sighting flat, case-hardened tang engraved with foliage and incorporating back sight, signed case-hardened flat bevelled lock engraved with a star burst below the pan and foliage at the tail, fitted with sliding safety catch, figured full-stock with flattened butt cut with characteristic chequering with a cross in the centre of each diamond, border engraved blued steel mounts comprising pommel-cap decorated with a flower head, trigger guard with foliage and Britannia shield on the bow and pineapple finial, stirrup ramrod. Much original finish throughout.
