A 50-Bore Percussion Transitional Revolver by Brooks, London, Circa 1852-4. With blued octagonal sighted barrel engraved around the muzzle, signed in capitals along the top flat and rifled with thirteen grooves, rebated cylinder retaining some blueing and numbered ‘1’ to ‘6’, border engraved case-hardened rounded action decorated with foliate scrollwork, butt and trigger guard decorated en suite, engraved bar hammer with rectangular sighting slot, chequered rounded grips each with a silver line behind the action, retaining some original finish. A nice example.
