A Superb Pair of Cased Percussion Duelling Pistols. With browned sighted octagonal barrels, with case-hardened breech blocks, fitted with standing back-sights and platinum plugs, plain steel tangs, locks signed, ‘COURT STAPENHILL’ both locks retaining traces of original colour, set-triggers, half-stocked in walnut, cut with chequering at the grips, the wood in fantastic condition, with horn fore-ends, plain steel mounts comprising trigger guard and ramrod pipes (one pipe repaired - see photographs) with original ramrods with brass turn-off worms: in blue-velvet lined case, with powder flask, bullet mould and loading rod. A lovely set.
