A Superb Blunderbuss by Henshaw, London. With round flared brass barrel, engraved ‘HENSHAW LONDON’ within a teardrop border, stamped with London proofs and Henshaws own barrel smith mark at the breech, foliate engraved tang and screw, signed border engraved lock and cock, full-stocked in walnut, cut with raised moulding around the tang, with brass furniture comprising vacant escutcheon, butt cap decorated with foliate design on the tail, border engraved trigger guard, decorated with a flower head on the bow and acorn finial, turned ramrod pipes and horn tipped ramrod. In lovely condition overall.
