A Remington Rider Five-Shot Magazine Pistol, Circa 1871-88. With nickel-plated octagonal sighted barrel stamped 'E. Remington & Sons. Ilion. N.Y. Riders Pat. Aug. 15th 1871.' along the top flat and with integral tubular magazine beneath, border engraved nickel-plated frame and bird's head butt, the former engraved with foliate scrollwork against a punched ground on both sides, spur trigger, chequered hammer and striker spurs, hollowed figured grips, and retaining nearly all its nickel-plated finish.
