A Scarce 1831 Pattern Flintlock Customs and Coast Guards Pistol. With plain sighted barrelled tang, stamped with Ordnance proofs and inspection marks, stepped bevelled lock with crowned 'GR' underneath the pan and 'TOWER' across the stepped tail, the lock retaining original varnish, sliding safety catch, ring-necked cock, figured stock with old bruising and an old repair where it may have been cut for a lanyard, stamped with Board of Ordnance marks on one side of the butt, regulation brass mounts including oval butt-plate and stirrup ramrod.
