A Rare Nottingham Police Issue Flintlock Blunderbuss, Circa 1820. With three-stage barrel with belled muzzle, signed ‘NOTTINGHAM POLICE’ on the octagonal breech section and fitted with a spring bayonet above, engraved iron tang incorporating the bayonet release catch, border engraved flat bevelled lock with stepped tail, roller and marked with the crest of the City of Nottingham beneath the pan, walnut three-quarter stock, engraved brass mounts, brass shield shaped escutcheon, horn tipped ramrod.
