A Flintlock Silver-Mounted Queen Anne Pistol by Brander of London, Circa 1750. With brass three-stage turn-off cannon barrel, stamped with London proofs, Branders barrel smith mark and fitted with ramrod pipes, breech engraved with ‘BRANDER LONDON’ inside a foliate encircled plaque, steel tang, border engraved brass box-lock action, steel cock, sliding trigger guard safety, engraved with foliage on the bow, swelling figured walnut butt, scalloped shell around barrel tang, silver side plate, vacant martial escutcheon and unusual foliate escutcheon to side, silver hall-marked grotesque mask, complete with original ram-rod.
