An Unusual 54 Bore Flintlock Pocket Pistol by Richards. With octagonal barrel decorated with a band of foliage at the muzzle stamped below with ‘1’ beautifully engraved breech and frame, signed ‘RICHARDS’ within an oval to the left and ‘LONDON’ within an oval to the right, frames decorated with stands of arms, fitted with sliding safety catch above that also locks the pan, unusual chamfered butt with octagonal escutcheon. In nice sleepy condition. Stamped with Birmingham proofs.
