A Percussion Sea Service / Coast Guard Pistol, With round barrel struck with Government viewing and proof marks, stepped plain lock, stamped with a crowned VR and TOWER 1842, full stocked in walnut, brass mounts comprising trigger guard, butt cap and ramrod pipe and fitted with a captive ramrod.

The pistol has never been fitted with a belt hook so it is almost certainly used by the coast guards.
