A Percussion Officers Pistol, marked Purdey. With sighted re-browned octagonal barrel, stamped ‘PURDEY LONDON’ with case-hardened breech plug with single platinum line, foliate engraved tang fitted with rear standing sight, borer engraved lock stamped ‘PURDEY’ and decorated with scrolling foliage and fitted with sliding safety catch, full-stocked in walnut, cut with chequering at the butt, stamped with what appear to be serial numbers, fitted with captive ramrod.
