A Good Pair of 54 Bore Silver Mounted Cannon Barrel Pistols by Stanton of London. With three stage brass cannon barrels, stamped with London proofs and ‘IB’ barrel smiths mark at the breeches, border engraved brass box-lock actions, decorated with scrolling foliage and signed ‘STANTON’ to the left and ‘LONDON’ on the right, engraved steel cocks and frizens, slab sided walnut butts inlaid with scrolling silver wire (retaining 100% of wire, some areas are proud on one of the pistols) with sliding steel trigger guards that lock the cocks at half-cock. A nice untouched pair.
