A Crisp Pair of Flintlock Pocket Pistols by Briggs. With round turn-off barrels decorated with bands of engraving at the muzzles, stamped below with Birmingham proofs, profusely engraved box-lock actions, signed ‘LONDON’ within an oval to the right and ‘BRIGGS’ to the left, fitted with sliding safety  catches above, that also lock the pans, beautifully chequered butts, with vacant oval escutcheons, engraved silver butt caps: contained in a pair of shoddy bags. A nice crisp pair.
