With browned twist sighted barrels signed on the ribs, 'Mara Ellen St. Limerick' foliate engraved breeches the engraving continuing along the length of the tangs, both tangs with slotted groove (it has been suggested this slot is for removable back-sights) profusely engraved back-action locks signed within foliage, highly figured walnut half-stocks with unusual saw-handled grip and fish-tailed butts, tutaneg mounts, comprising foliate engraved butt-caps, trigger guards decorated with scrolling foliage on the bow and stylised pineapple finials, engraved ramrod pipe and barrel key escutcheons. A highly unusual pair of pistols.
