With browned sighted octagonal barrels, signed LONDON in gold Gothic script along the top flats, delicately engraved breeches with single gold lines, platinum breech plugs engraved with lions heads (I have not seen this detail before) deeply engraved steel tangs incorporating rear sights, profusely engraved back-action locks fitted with sliding safety catches and signed, T A LINWOOD CH CH, cocks decorated en suite, half stocked in root walnut cut with chequering at the grips, with white metal barrel escutcheons and oval escutcheons on the wrist with original owners crest, engraved steel trigger guards decorated with scrolling foliage on the bow and with pineapple finials, retaining some original colour, turned ramrod pipes with white metal tipped ramrods with concealed worms. A fine quality pair of pistols.
