A Super Pair of Double Barrel Howdah Pistols by Braddell of Belfast. With browned barrels, engraved ‘BELFAST’ along the central ribs, foliate engraved breech blocks with single platinum line and platinum plugs, profusely engraved steel tangs, retaining much original colour, border engraved back action locks, signed towards the top and decorated with foliage throughout, full-stocked in walnut cut with chequering at the grips, with foliate engraved butt caps with traps, foliate engraved trigger guards with pineapple finials, with metal ramrod pipe and brass tipped ramrods with concealed worms. In fine condition overall.
