An English Mortuary Hilted Backsword. With broad blade double edged towards the point and cut with a shallow fuller running almost the entire length go the blade on each side, the fuller on each side is stamped FERARA and curving smiths marks, iron hilt comprising solid guard chiselled with scrolling foliage, human faces and the Green Mans face, knuckle guard connected to one bifurcated bar on each side chiselled with foliage and screwed to the pommel, globular pommel chiselled with foliage and scroll work, flattened button with original wire bound grip.
