A Good Four-Barrelled Box-Lock Pistol by Clarke of London. With round turn-off barrels, numbered ‘5’, ‘6’, ‘7’ and ‘8’ stamped at the breeches with London proofs, border engraved breeches and box-lock action, decorated with scrolling foliage and signed, ‘R. CLARKE’ on a rococo scroll surrounded by flowers to the left and ‘No. 102 CHEAPSIDE LONDON’ to the right, slab sided walnut butt, with vacant oval escutcheon. A Scarce pistol!
