An English Funerary Helmet Adapted from A Lobster Pot, 17th Century. With rounded two-piece skull (some holes and dents) with low turned comb surmounted by a spike for a crest, the lower parts of the skull are linked by rough riveted plates added for funerary purposes and linked to a roughly formed gorget of two plates, decorated with studs long the rim. Pitted and blackened overall.
