A 50-Bore Flintlock Tap-Action Pistol by J & W Richards, London. With turn-off barrels decorated at muzzle and breech, numbered ‘2’ and ‘3’ and stamped with London proofs and ‘R’, line engraved box-lock action, with sliding thumb-piece safety catch, signed, ‘ J & W RICHARDS’ to the left and, ‘LONDON’ to the right, plate sided butt with vacant shield-shaped escutcheon.
