With round two-stage turn-off barrel belled at the muzzle, border engraved octagonal breech, signed LONDON along the top, stamped with London proofs and Freemans own barrel smith mark and JAMES FREEMAN below the pan, raised border engraved tang, rounded border engraved action, cock and frizen engraved en suite, swelling walnut butt with raised moulding around the tang (old crack - see photographs) silver mounts comprising vacant escutcheon, side-plate and grotesque mask.
