A Flintlock Officers Pistol by John Gill. With round barrel, stamped with London proofs and Gills own barrel smith mark at the breech, border engraved tang, decorated with foliage at the screw, stepped, bevelled lock, signed in full with roller frizen, full-stocked in walnut with brass mounts comprising border engraved butt cap, trigger guard with foliage in the bow and acorn finial, turned brass ramrod pipes and brass tipped ramrod.

Shops in London and Birmingham. Made box lock flintlock pocket pistols and double barrel flintlock holster pistols. Name changed to Gill & Parkes from 1770 to 1808. Had Royal Government Contract for flintlock muskets.
