A Flintlock Officers Pistol by Hawkes Moseley & Co. With sighted octagonal barrel, signed along the top flat (rubbed) foliate engraved breech with single platinum line and platinum plug, foliate engraved tang fitted with rear-sight, stepped bevelled lock signed and engraved with scrolling foliage, fitted with a sliding safety catch, full-stocked in walnut and cut with chequering at the grip, with a dark horn fore-end cap, engraved steel trigger guard, decorated with foliage on the bow and turned ramrod pipe, with captive ramrod.
