A Flintlock Holster/Livery Pistol by Newton of Grantham. With slightly swamps barrel engraved ‘Newton Grantham’ along the top flat and stamped with London proof and view marks, border engraved tang, signed border engraved lock, full stocked in walnut with beautiful tutaneg mounts comprising beautifully fretted side-plate, vacant oval escutcheon, long-eared butt-cap decorated with a grotesque mask, engraved trigger guard decorated with foliage on the bow and acorn finial and engraved ram-rod pipes, with original ramrod. A lovely pistol by a sought after maker.

Flintlock officer’s holster pistols and brass barrel flintlock blunderbusses with top spring bayonets. Also made Ferguson-type breech loading rifles.
