A Flintlock Holster Pistol by Hutchinson of Dublin. With re-browned octagonal barrel engraved ‘Dublin’ and ‘DU-1432’ (engraving refreshed) stamped with London proofs and decorated with a band at the breech. Foliate engraved steel tang, bevelled lock, profusely decorated with scrolling foliage and signed ‘HUTCHINSON’ on a scroll beneath the pan, cock decorated en suite. Full-stocked in walnut with scarce tutaneg mounts, comprising vacant oval escutcheon, foliate butt cap and trigger guard, decorated with flower heads on the bow and acanthus leaf finial, turned ramrod pipes and what appears to be original wooden ramrod.
